AROL FOR RAIN

Rain Pure Mountain Spring Water upgrades its bottling line with AROL capping technology.

Rain Pure Mountain Spring Water, a U.S.-based company known for bottling spring water exclusively in aluminum containers, has recently upgraded its production line with the goal of combining efficiency, quality, and sustainability. At the heart of the process is the EURO VA-CB capper by AROL, specifically designed to meet the unique challenges associated with this type of packaging.

According to Mark Majkrzak, founder and CEO of the company, capping is one of the most critical and complex stages of the process:
“The capper is the single most specialized piece of machinery to bottle this container,” the CEO states. “Because it’s a lightweight aluminum bottle, you can’t apply too much side load. You’ll ovalize it.”

The capping machine features:

  • 5 stainless steel SSD-CB capping heads, designed for ROPP aluminum closures;
  • Dual pass action technology, which performs threading and controlled sealing in two steps;
  • An automatic centrifugal cap feeder made of AISI 304 stainless steel, equipped with a cap level sensor and an inspection hatch.

The entire machine is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, a material widely used in the food industry for its corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning.
The fully automated packaging line operates at a speed of 130 bottles per minute, ensuring high productivity and reliable performance.

Thanks to the adoption of AROL technology, Rain has been able to:

  • Increase line productivity;
  • Reduce the risk of waste and container deformation;
  • Improve ergonomics and operational safety;
  • Maintain high quality standards for a non-conventional container.

The choice of the AROL capper has proven crucial in supporting the company's expansion into the retail market, reinforcing the brand’s identity as a pioneer in circular packaging.
